SSI Deep Diving Specialty

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty allows you to safely extend your depth limit to 40 meters and access deeper reefs, wrecks, and walls.​

Course Overview

  • Maximum depth: Certified to dive to 40 meters.​

  • Duration: 2 days, including 3 open‑water training dives.​

  • Prerequisites: Open Water Diver (or equivalent), minimum age 15 years.​

Prerequisites
  • Minimum Age: 15 years
  • Certification: Open Water Diver certification.
What You Learn

  • Plan and execute deep dives.

  • Manage gas and air use.

  • Know decompression risks, responses.

  • Choose suitable deep‑dive gear

Course Structure & Duration

  • Dive Oman’s top deep sites.

  • Explore wrecks and offshore reefs

  • Train with experienced SSI instructors

  • Build skills for advanced and technical diving.

After completing the course, you’ll be certified to dive to a maximum of 40 meters worldwide with a buddy of equal or higher certification.
